Hiya, I’m Brooklynn — owner & graphic designer behind BDC

I grew up in Colorado, spent a few unforgettable years living in New Zealand, and eventually found my way to Alaska — the place that finally felt like home. These days, I design from my cozy little space in Anchorage with my husband Luka and our son Arthur who keep my life full and sweet.

I’ve always been a lover of color, textures, little details, and 12oz mochas. The places I’ve lived and the people I love have shaped the way I see the world — and the way I design.

The Work Behind the Work

My background is a blend of graphic design, hands-on training, and a whole lot of trial and error. I studied and trained in both New Zealand and Alaska, learning everything from silk-screen printing to layout design to understanding how different textiles & media, inks, and finishes behave in the real world.

Over the years, I’ve worked to build a deep understanding of printing, materials, color, and craftsmanship — not just the “pretty” side, but the technical side that makes things turn out beautifully. Every menu, sign, place card, and seating chart I create pulls from that foundation.

What BDC Means to Me

Everything I learned along the way naturally shaped the kind of designer I became — someone who cares about the little moments, the details, and the feeling a piece can hold. That’s really where BDC came from.

I’ve always loved connecting with my couples, learning their story, and creating designs that feel personal to them. Wedding days are full of emotion and meaning, and I’ve always believed the paper pieces should carry that too.

BDC revolves around that belief — that thoughtful design matters, that details make a difference, and that the things you hold on your wedding day should feel like you. It’s why I love what I do, and why I put so much care into every piece that leaves my studio.
